Introduction to Ballet

6-8 year olds: Thursdays from 10:30am – 11:30am
9-11 year olds: Thursdays from 11:30am-12:30pm

This class is geared toward home school students who are new to ballet or have had very little experience in ballet training. It is good for exercise and physical fitness while also introducing the basics of ballet. Students will begin with floor exercises and movements that will condition the body for ballet technique. Beginning elements of barre work, basic ballet positions of arms and feet, coordination, and locomotor movements will be explored. The class is available for two different age groups to accommodate physical and cognitive development. These classes are divided into four 8-week sessions that are designed for the flexibility of completing one session alone or multiple sessions with some progression.

Session One: September 15-November 13
Session Two: November 10-January 12
Session Three: January 19-March 9
Session Four: March 16-May 4

Each Session is $100. There is a one-time registration fee of $20 for the season. Specific dancewear is required and will be explained at the time of registration.

Creative Movement

3-5 year olds: Thursdays from 1:30-2:00pm

This class, geared for younger children as an introduction to dance and structured classes, is designed to give children a creative approach to learning about movement. Stories and music will encourage these young students to learn to identify and use different parts of the body, and to learn coordination, fine and gross motor skills.

These classes are divided into four 8-week sessions that are designed for the flexibility of completing one session alone or multiple sessions.

Session One: September 15-November 13
Session Two: November 10-January 12
Session Three: January 19-March 9
Session Four: March 16-May 4

Each Session is $55. There is a one-time registration fee of $20 for the season. Specific dancewear is required and will be explained at the time of registration.
